You pool leaf canister will last for years. There are no moving parts. Just empty it when it is full. At most replace the o-ring if it starts to stick. Just don’t drop it.
How can you tell your leaf canister is full? Easy. Just look at it. If it is full then just unplug one of the pipes and twist it open. Empty the leaves into the compost. Connect it back.
